Social Cohesion Project

Project Overview

The Social Cohesion project has been implemented since 2012 with two components: National Peace Architecture (NPA) Component and Building National Capacities for Conflict Prevention.

Project Goal

Malawi has strengthened institutional capacities for sustaining peace and social cohesion.

Project outputs

  • Inclusive and Gender Sensitive National Peace Architecture institutionalized in close coordination with other stakeholders.
  • Women, youth, and CSOs, and key national leaders capacitated to take initiatives for peacebuilding, violence prevention, conflict monitoring, mediation, and collaborative dialogue
  • Potentially violent disputes resolved through mediation, and consensus on key national priorities reached through facilitation and advocacy.
  • Facilitating stakeholder engagements on emerging issues
